Workforce payments company Branch has introduced a new paycard designed to give employers more flexible options for paying staff, while expanding access to financial tools for workers in sectors with high demand for fast, reliable payroll delivery.

The full-service paycard is accessible through the Branch App and Card, and targets industries such as hospitality, healthcare, staffing, construction, and agriculture. It offers multiple payout options—such as same-day pay, earned wage access, and cashless tips—without the need for pre-funding by employers.

“Our new paycard not only provides businesses with a comprehensive solution for paying their entire workforce, but also helps deliver a mobile-first, accessible experience for workers that traditional paycards lack,” said Atif Siddiqi, founder and CEO of Branch.

Shift from prepaid to banking features

Unlike most traditional prepaid paycards, Branch’s product allows workers to receive wages into a digital bank account. It includes access to a Mastercard debit card, fee-free ATM withdrawals, and financial wellness tools such as budgeting, savings, and cashback rewards.

The paycard also eliminates overdraft and late fees and has no minimum balance requirements, according to the company.

Designed for faster onboarding

Employers can integrate the new paycard with time and attendance systems, reducing manual data entry and supporting quicker onboarding. The card is available to minors and underbanked workers and can be distributed on-site or activated through self-service options.

The launch follows growing demand from employers looking to reduce reliance on paper checks and offer quicker wage access to attract and retain workers, Siddiqi said.

Branch’s paycard is available now.
