Mars names new global HR leader for its petcare division

Mars has appointed Helio Fujita as Global People & Organization Vice President for its petcare business, effective July 2025. Fujita will report to Loïc Moutault, President of Mars Petcare, and join both the Mars Petcare Leadership Team and global People & Organization Team.

Fujita brings more than 25 years of human resources experience across multiple industries to the $30 billion pet health, services and nutrition business.

“His combination of deep experience across HR and commercial strategy coupled with his proven track record in building organizational capabilities to drive business growth will be incredible assets to our team,” said Moutault.

Fujita most recently worked at Fresenius Kabi, a global healthcare company specializing in lifesaving medicines and technologies. His career includes senior leadership positions at Abbott, Novartis and Sandoz, where he gained experience across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Leadership experience

Rebecca Snow, Mars Incorporated VP People & Organization/CHRO, cited Fujita’s diverse background as key to his selection.

“Helio brings a wealth of HR and business transformation experience across diverse industries and geographies, which will strengthen our People & Organization function across Mars and drive real business impact in Mars Petcare,” said Snow.

Fujita expressed enthusiasm about joining the company known for its distinctive corporate culture.

“The Mars Petcare business is one that I have admired, their transformation over the last decade has been hugely impressive and Mars is an organization known for its special company culture and Principles,” said Fujita.

Mars Petcare employs approximately 100,000 associates across more than 130 countries. The division encompasses veterinary care providers including AniCura, Banfield, BluePearl, Linnaeus and VCA, as well as nutrition brands such as Pedigree, Royal Canin and Whiskas.

Mars Incorporated, a family-owned business with more than $50 billion in annual revenue, employs approximately 150,000 people worldwide across its pet care, veterinary services and food products businesses.
