Wellness Workdays launched the International Institute of Workplace Well-Being Monday to provide certification and training programs for professionals focused on employee wellness.

The institute will offer programs in behavioral health, mental health, safety and overall well-being for wellness professionals, senior leadership and safety specialists, the company announced.

“Our goal is to be the global leader in workplace well-being certifications, driving a culture of safety, productivity, and professional excellence, and inspiring positive change in workplaces worldwide,” said Debra Wein, CEO of Wellness Workdays.

The Boston-based initiative, known as IIWW, will include programs such as Selling Wellness, WellCert and Mental Health First Aid, according to the announcement.

A diverse advisory board will help guide the institute’s curriculum, which is based on evidence-based research. The organization aims to serve as a collaboration hub for thought leaders and organizations focused on sustainable employee success.

Wellness Workdays has provided workplace wellness programs for two decades to organizations including New Balance, Turner Construction, Brown University and Harvard Business School.
