Pizza Ranch has selected workforce payments platform Branch to provide earned wage access and other flexible payment solutions across its corporate and franchise locations, the companies announced Thursday.

The partnership allows Pizza Ranch employees to access earned wages before traditional payday cycles, receive digital tip payments after shifts, and use digital banking tools with fee-free options.

“Branch stood out in their ability to not only meet a need that was bigger than expected but also serve as a true partner to our business,” said Pizza Ranch Operations & Profitability Project Manager Schuyler Noteboom. “Our franchisees have loved bringing Branch into their restaurants and have been blown away by the support they’ve received.”

Operational improvements

The implementation aims to help franchise owners reduce costs with digital payment solutions while streamlining payroll processes. Company officials said the move would free up valuable time for franchise owners to focus on guest experience.

“Offering a modern payments experience like Branch underscores Pizza Ranch’s commitment to providing new and compelling ways to empower their employees and their franchise network,” said Branch founder and CEO Atif Siddiqi.

Workforce retention strategy

Pizza Ranch, which operates more than 210 locations across 14 states primarily in the Midwest, expects the payment flexibility will strengthen workforce retention. The company is making the partnership available to all corporate and franchise locations.

Noteboom said the company knows “this solution is going to continue to drive retention and excitement among our employees.”

Founded in 1981, Pizza Ranch offers buffet-style dining and also owns and operates FunZone Arcades at many locations.
