Spring Health has been certified as a Great Place to Work for 2025–26, with 73% of employees saying it’s a great place to work — well above the 57% average reported at typical U.S.-based companies.
The certification is based entirely on employee responses to the Trust Index Survey, conducted by Great Place to Work. The firm cited the recognition as a sign of its efforts to foster a culture rooted in care, inclusion and employee well-being — priorities that continue to resonate with HR professionals and employers navigating high turnover and mental health challenges in the workplace.
Culture as strategy
Karishma Patel Buford, chief people officer at Spring Health, said the designation reflects more than just policies or perks.
“Being Certified as a Great Place to Work is more than a badge — it’s a reflection of how our people feel, and that matters deeply to us,” she said. “This recognition honors our commitment to building a culture where care, equity and impact are core to how we operate.”
The company provides a range of benefits aimed at reducing barriers to mental health care, including free therapy and coaching, reimbursement for gender-affirming care, and a month-long paid sabbatical after four years of service. Leadership development is supported through programs such as GROVE.
Listening and adapting
Spring Health credits its high scores to its employee feedback systems, including the internally developed Thriving Index and the Great Place to Work survey. These tools have led to initiatives like Focus Weeks, designed to reduce meeting overload, and SpringWorks, an internal team coaching program shaped by employee suggestions.
More than 60% of Spring Health employees participate in at least one employee resource group. Each group is backed by a member of the executive team and is given a voice in business and culture strategy decisions.
Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work, said the certification signals a company that prioritizes consistency and intentionality in how it treats employees.
“By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Spring Health stands out as one of the top companies to work for,” she said.
