Comviva has appointed Bhagwati Shetty as its new Chief Human Resources Officer as the company ramps up its global growth strategy, particularly in Europe and North America.

Shetty steps into the role with a mandate to align Comviva’s people strategy with its broader business ambitions, the company said in a statement Monday. Her appointment comes as the technology firm moves forward with its “Comviva 2.0” initiative, which includes a push to become an AI-first organization and expand in developed markets.

“Her expertise in cultural and HR transformation will be instrumental in cultivating a dynamic, people-centric work environment,” said Rajesh Chandiramani, CEO of Comviva.

Shetty brings more than 16 years of experience across manufacturing, technology, telecom, and financial services. She has held senior HR roles at Mahindra Group, Vodafone India, Wipro, and Cummins India. At Mahindra, she led initiatives around diversity, equity, and inclusion, and played a key role in leadership development and promoting a growth mindset, the company said.

“I am committed to fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture that empowers our employees to thrive,” Shetty said. “By driving meaningful change, we aim to create an environment where talent flourishes and innovation thrives.”

Comviva, a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra, provides AI-driven digital solutions to clients in the communications and financial industries. Its platforms are used by more than 130 companies in over 100 countries, according to the company.
