Reworld has named Amy Plasha its new executive vice president and chief human resources officer, the company announced Monday, marking a key leadership change as it moves into a new phase of growth.
Plasha, who brings more than three decades of HR experience, will oversee all aspects of human resources operations at the sustainable waste solutions company. Her portfolio includes talent management, employee engagement, total rewards, and culture and people initiatives.
She most recently served as chief people officer at Vontier, where she led HR strategy for 8,500 employees across seven business units. Her background also includes leadership roles at Builders FirstSource, DBi Services, Performance Food Group, and Rodale.
“With Amy’s breadth of experience and track record of building strong, people-focused organizations, I’m confident she will play a key role in helping us develop and retain top talent,” said Azeez Mohammed, president and CEO of Reworld.
Plasha will report directly to Mohammed.
Departure of longtime HR leader
Plasha replaces Ginny Angilello, who is stepping down after seven years in the role. The company did not provide details about Angilello’s next steps but acknowledged her contributions during a period of growth and transformation.
The leadership transition comes as Reworld positions itself for deeper engagement with public markets and continues its focus on organizational development.
Broader executive changes
The HR appointment was part of a broader executive reshuffle. Reworld also announced Paul Scherzer as its new CFO. Scherzer joins from Stelco Holdings and brings 25 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets.
Brendan Ferretti, who served as interim CFO, has been named executive vice president, CFO operations.
Reworld said the leadership moves are intended to support its long-term business strategy and commitment to sustainability.
