LAS VEGAS — ServiceNow and UKG announced a new collaboration Tuesday to integrate their artificial intelligence solutions, aiming to streamline employee tasks across payroll, workforce management and HR functions.
The partnership, revealed at ServiceNow’s Knowledge 2025 conference, will connect UKG’s AI solutions with ServiceNow’s newly announced AI Agent Fabric to modernize digital employee experiences by automating administrative tasks.
“ServiceNow and UKG put people at the heart of every innovation, to create breakthrough experiences in a new era of human-AI collaboration,” said Bill McDermott, chairman and CEO of ServiceNow.
According to research from the Josh Bersin Company cited in the announcement, AI focused on improving existing jobs can provide between 15% to 50% productivity improvements, while AI agents handling both common and complex tasks could deliver over 300% improvements.
Jennifer Morgan, CEO at UKG, highlighted the partnership’s potential impact: “By integrating UKG and ServiceNow’s AI agents into a single, seamless platform, we’re making it possible for our customers to focus on what matters most – purpose, progress, and impact.”
Key focus areas
The collaboration targets three main areas where AI agents could enhance workforce operations:
Employee experiences: The companies aim to improve significant workplace moments by enabling AI agents to complete complex, multi-system tasks through simplified interfaces, covering processes like onboarding, leaves of absence and internal job changes.
Payroll modernization: The partnership addresses challenges stemming from evolving tax laws, labor regulations and wage mandates across jurisdictions, with AI solutions designed to provide employees real-time answers while freeing payroll teams for strategic work.
Industry-specific solutions: The companies will offer optimized scheduling, forecasting and time management capabilities for frontline workers across multiple industries, with AI agents able to make recommendations based on patterns and historical data.
