Medical device consultancy ClariMed has been certified a Great Place to Work for the first time, with employee feedback highlighting a strong culture of care and collaboration following the integration of its U.S. and U.K. operations.

The global firm, which specializes in human-centered medical device development and regulatory services, received the recognition after merging two legacy consultancies and building a unified cross-border workplace. According to the results, 92% of employees said ClariMed is a great place to work—36 percentage points higher than the average U.S. company.

Employee feedback highlights culture of trust and inclusion

Survey responses pointed to a deep sense of community among staff. Ninety-eight percent of employees said people at ClariMed care about one another, while 95% felt they were given significant responsibility, welcomed into the organization, and supported by colleagues willing to go the extra mile.

The results reflect a workplace culture shaped by the company’s stated values of kindness, openness, and continuous learning, said Katy Melanson, HR manager at ClariMed.

“Our culture is built on the principle that each team member has something to learn and something to teach,” she said.

Fostering innovation through workplace connection

The certification process followed ClariMed’s recent integration of consultancies from two countries—a transition that often comes with operational and cultural challenges. Company leaders said they intentionally built a workplace model that emphasized inclusion and human-centered thinking.

“We foster an environment for people to become who they are meant to be by accepting, embracing, and celebrating them for all they are,” said Leya Bergquist, associate director of human factors and site lead at ClariMed’s Boston office.

According to Great Place to Work data, certified companies are more likely to retain employees, foster innovation, and attract top talent. Workers at certified organizations are also significantly more likely to report fair treatment, enjoy their roles, and trust leadership.
