iCIMS announced Monday it will release a new platform of artificial intelligence agents designed to handle routine recruiting and hiring tasks without human oversight.

The talent acquisition software company said its iCIMS Agents platform will work across the entire hiring process, from sourcing candidates to generating job offers. The system aims to reduce manual work for recruiters and hiring managers while maintaining human decision-making at key points.

“The power of agentic AI unlocks new opportunities to drive scale, efficiency and performance exponentially across the enterprise, with some of the most valuable applications in the recruiting and hiring domain,” said Jason Edelboim, CEO of iCIMS.

Six agents target specific hiring functions

The initial release will include six specialized agents that handle different parts of the recruitment process:

The Sourcing Pipeline Agent will scan existing candidate databases to identify potential matches before jobs are posted publicly. It will automatically contact candidates who appear to be good fits.

A Frontline Manager Hiring Agent will handle communication with candidates and create offer letters on behalf of hiring managers, reducing the number of manual steps in the process.

The Conversational Application Agent allows job seekers to apply through text message, WhatsApp or web chat instead of traditional online forms. Candidates can complete the entire application process through these conversations.

A Candidate Summary Agent will review resumes, assessment results and interview notes to create brief profiles for hiring teams to review.

The Open Job Management Agent will create, get approval for and post new job listings, with human oversight at specific stages.

A Conversational Analytics Agent will answer questions about hiring data and provide recommendations based on patterns in company recruiting metrics.

Platform builds on existing AI tools

The new agents will work alongside iCIMS’ current artificial intelligence features, including iCIMS Copilot, iCIMS Digital Assistant and iCIMS AI Talent Explorer. The company said the system will integrate with customers’ other AI tools.

iCIMS has worked in recruiting software for 25 years and became the first enterprise recruiting platform to receive TrustArc’s TRUSTe Responsible AI Certification. The company said its agent platform uses data from billions of hiring decisions.

“With iCIMS Agents, our customers can accelerate or automate the moments in the recruiting and hiring lifecycle where human effort doesn’t add value and is not required,” said Eric Connors, chief product officer at iCIMS.

Beta testing begins with select customers

The company is developing the platform with members of its Talent Leadership Council, a customer advisory group of enterprise users. The first agents will become available in the third quarter of this year.

iCIMS customers can learn more about the platform at the company’s iCIMS Next conference on June 17.
